Mary Drummond Roby, Ph.D.

Mary Drummod Roby, Ph.D. is currently Program Manager and Senior Member of Technical Staff at Texas Instruments and has BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering. Mary has worked across research and development, engineering, and operations, specializing in semiconductor and MEMS processing. She holds 16 patents and has authored 12 technical papers. Her contributions extend beyond industry -  Mary has spoken at junior high and high schools to bring engineering to life for students still figuring out their path, and has coached mock interviews and resume writing to help them compete when the time comes. She also teaches at the University of Texas at Dallas, Collin College, and Baylor University’s TIP program, and served as an Engineering Ambassador at the Sci-Tech Frisco Museum. 

What brings her to this classroom? Simple: education changed the trajectory of her life and enabling students to make their decisions makes for a great week.
